A Seattle man who was in his 60s shot and killed his adult daughter as well as his teenage granddaughter, and then turned the gun on himself and committed suicide, police said.

The victims and shooter weren’t identified.

The local KCPQ reported that the shooting occurred at a home in the southern section of Seattle around 8 p.m. on Monday. A 10-year-old boy called police and said his grandfather had waved his gun at the two women and then shot them, Fox News reported. The boy said his grandfather had then shot and killed himself.

The boy was “shaken up” but otherwise unharmed, Assistant Police Chief Nick Metz said, Fox News reported.

It’s not clear why the shooting occurred, but Seattle Mayor Ed Murray said it seemed to be “a family tragedy,” Fox News reported.
