Amber Vinson, a second Dallas nurse who tested positive for Ebola after treating the man with the first confirmed case of the virus diagnosed in the United States, is being discharged from the hospital and is now Ebola-free, ABC News reported.
Ms. Vinson had cared for Thomas Eric Duncan, who contracted the disease and later died, at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital. She had flown back from Cleveland soon before she was diagnosed with Ebola and was later flown to Emory University Hospital for treatment.
Ms. Vinson’s colleague Nina Pham, who also tested positive for Ebola, was released from the hospital last week.
