CHICAGO (AP) — Gov. Pat Quinn and Republican challenger Bruce Rauner agree on imposing a quarantine on people returning from West Africa who might have been exposed to Ebola, but disagree slightly on other states’ actions.

Quinn’s administration announced a mandatory home quarantine for “high-risk” people, including anyone who’s touched patients’ body fluids without protective gear.

Quinn says the approach allows people the comfort of home. He told reporters Monday he disagrees with New Jersey’s decision to place a nurse returning from West Africa in an isolation tent.

Rauner says quarantines are overdue. He told reporters he favors a travel ban “to afflicted countries.” Campaign officials later clarified, saying Rauner supports a visa and travel ban on those attempting to travel to the U.S. from Ebola-affected countries.

Quinn doesn’t favor a travel ban.
