Democrats in Congress have pretty much bottomed out with the American people in terms of popularity, nosediving to 20-year lows in the most recent Washington Post-ABC News poll.

Fully 67 percent said they didn’t like what Democrats in Congress were doing, Newsmax said.

Only 30 percent actually approved — and those dismal numbers follow another Washington Post-ABC News poll that showed the overall Democratic Party is hitting a 30-year low with the American people, Newsmax said.

Republicans aren’t that popular, either. But the numbers show that approval ratings for the GOP are leveling out a bit, and Newsmax reported that the gap between Republicans’ disapproval numbers and those of the Democrats’ is narrowing.

Democrats, meanwhile, face another poll hit — this time, with black voters. The numbers reveal that the Democratic Party is losing favor with this voting block, and roughly 47 percent now disapprove of the job they’re doing.

The Democratic Party numbers come just on the heels of a poll that checked President Obama’s popularity rating among the people and found it was also hitting a record low at 40 percent.
