Sen. Elizabeth Warren’s new language regarding a possible White House run in 2016 has taken a decided turn from “heck, no” to “maybe.”

Her words, at Cambridge, Massachusetts, when asked for a People magazine interview if she’s mulling a run to be president: “I don’t think so,” The Hill reported. But at the same time, her caveat seemed to give hope to those who want her to run for the high executive office.

“If there’s any lesson I’ve learned in the last five years, it’s don’t be so sure about what lies ahead. There are amazing doors that could open,” Ms. Warren said, The Hill reported.

And yet, once again, she turned to her normal course when asked the presidential question: “Right now, I’m focused on figuring out what else I can do from this spot” in the Senate, she said, The Hill reported.

Some see her tone shift as indicative of a run.

“This opens the door to a possible run in 2016,” said Ready For Warren campaign manager Erica Sagrans. “[It] shows more wiggle room … and shows Warren’s definitely thinking about it.”

Ms. Warren has been pressed by her progressive-minded supporters to challenge the presumptive Democratic Party’s candidate, Hillary Clinton, for the White House in 2016. Mrs. Clinton hasn’t formally declared her intentions, yet.
