Donald Trump issued a blunt warning to 2012 GOP presidential nominee Mitt Romney: Don’t run again.

“He had his chance and he blew it,” Mr. Trump told Breitbart. “He had a great chance of winning. He should have won. That was an election that frankly should have been a much easier election than the probably 2016 candidate Hillary. That was an election that should have been won by the Republicans.”

Mr. Trump then took to Twitter to expound on his opinion.

“If Mitt Romney were in the private sector & he suffered the horrendous loss of 2012, do you think he’d rehire himself for 2016? — I don’t!” he tweeted.

Mr. Romney’s wife, Ann, said last week a 2016 run for the White House by her husband isn’t likely, but told The Washington Post, “we’ll have to see what happens.”
