President Obama’s penchant for keeping information under wraps extends all the way to the staff in the White House kitchen.

Sam Kass, official White House chef — and the husband of MSNBC’s Alex Wagner — agreed to an interview with Bloomberg Politics, but then refused to give up even the tiniest of food-related details about the Obama family, Mediaite reported.

For instance, he wouldn’t name any dish he could prepare using White House garden ingredients — the same White House garden that first lady Michelle Obama touts in her healthy eating tours as a crucial key to save the nation from obesity.

He also refused to say what foods the Obama family likes, and which they detest. And he declined to detail even how spicy the foods should be in order to pass Obama family taste muster.

One example of how the interview went:

Bloomberg Politics asked: “How do you make the [chicken] wings? Bake them? Fry? Double fry?”

Mr. Kass responded: “Those are the kinds of things you won’t get me to talk about.”
