Sen. Rand Paul, Kentucky Republican, is headed back to Iowa Wednesday to give a boost to GOP congressional candidates in the Hawkeye State.

Mr. Paul, a likely GOP presidential contender in 2016, is scheduled to attend rallies for state Sen. Joni Ernst, who is running against Democratic Rep. Bruce Braley for the seat of retiring Democratic Sen. Tom Harkin, as well as GOP candidates for the U.S. House and the Iowa House of Representatives.

Mr. Paul is also scheduled to make trips later this month to boost businessman David Perdue’s U.S. Senate bid in Georgia and Sen. Pat Roberts’ campaign in Kansas — two races Republicans had hoped to have put away by this stage in the cycle.
