David Amerson was again limited in the Washington Redskins’ practice on Thursday as he recovers following a concussion sustained Oct. 12 in a loss to Arizona.

The cornerback, who was able to go through individual and positional drills, will need to be able to go through a full practice on Friday before he can be cleared to play in the Redskins’ game Sunday against Tennessee.

If Amerson can’t play, it appears likely the Redskins would again turn to E.J. Biggers, who replaced Amerson for 56 of 70 plays against the Cardinals.

Free safety Ryan Clark and left tackle Trent Williams were limited in practice — an improvement over Wednesday, when they missed the entire session. Clark played all but one snap against the Cardinals despite two sprained ankles, while Williams aggravated his dislocated right kneecap late in the game.

Cornerback Tracy Porter (strained right hamstring) and inside linebacker Akeem Jordan (sprained left knee) sat out of practice again, while outside linebacker Brian Orakpo (sprained right ankle), fullback Darrel Young (unspecified hamstring injury) and strong safety Trenton Robinson (high left ankle sprain) again completed a full session.

Coach Jay Gruden also said quarterback Robert Griffin III was able to participate in individual drills for the second consecutive day as he recovers from a dislocated left ankle sustained in a Week 2 victory over Jacksonville.

Griffin, who has not been permitted to speak to reporters this week, still has no firm return date scheduled.
