Music legend Neil Young had some harsh words on President Obama’s job performance, telling a Comedy Central audience of Stephen Colbert fans that the commander in chief ought to be impeached.

Why?

For allowing an oil and gas extraction method known as hydraulic fracturing or fracking, he said, The Daily Caller reported.

“Last time you were here, you tried getting me to sing a song about impeaching the president who at the time was George W. Bush,” Mr. Colbert said on a recent showing of “The Colbert Report.”

The host went on: “And you wanted to impeach him over getting us into the war in Iraq. Now that President Obama is getting us into a war in Iraq, are you up for impeaching him, too?”

Mr. Young said “no,” and Mr. Colbert responded: “Then you’re a double hypocrite?”

Mr. Young, a prominent environmentalist, in a shirt that read “EARTH,” reiterated his earlier view.

“I think we should impeach him for fracking,” he said, The Daily Caller reported.
