The ongoing brouhaha about the Washington Redskins is a tempest in a teapot, or much ado about nothing. There will always be groups that raise issues in order to draw attention to themselves because of their perceived relative invisibility. The Redskins name issue is an example of that.

The answer is to simply change the name to the “Washington Americans” and keep the same logo. No one can dispute the Indians being the first Americans, and I don’t see how the Indians can object to being Americans.
