Sen. Elizabeth Warren, Massachusetts Democrat, this weekend called Republicans’ budget cuts selfish, saying the GOP’s motto should be “I got mine, the rest of you are on your own.”

Campaigning with Mary Burke, the Democrat challenging Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker, Ms. Warren said Saturday that by deregulating the economy Republicans had let Wall Street “paint bulls-eyes on the backsides of American families,” Breitbart News reported.

“They’ll make billions and they will leave the wreckage behind in our neighborhoods,” Ms. Warren said, citing what she said were Mr. Walker’s proposed cuts to funding for education and Planned Parenthood and his opposition to Obamacare.

“When he says that he will leave tens of thousands of people here in Wisconsin without access to affordable medical care out of some Republican ideological principle, he will let people in this state suffer, then he has told you whose side he stands on, and it is not for the people of Wisconsin,” Ms. Warren said.
