Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton was confronted by a bullhorn-wielding heckler who brazenly broke in to her San Diego remarks over the weekend to a gathering of the American Academy of Pediatrics.

The Hill reported Mrs. Clinton was mid-speech, when a man tripped the alarm on his bullhorn — causing the former White House cabinet head to flinch and stop speaking.

The man continued to shout, though The Hill couldn’t discern what he was saying.

Mrs. Clinton tried to return to script with a joke, as the man was escorted from the scene.

“You know there are some people who miss important developmental stages,” she said, The Hill reported.

It’s not clear what message the man wanted to communicate.

Mrs. Clinton was at the forum to announce a new partnership between the Clinton Foundation’s “Too Small to Fail” program and the AAP, and to give toolkits to doctors to emphasize the importance of reading to children to parents, The Hill reported.
