When business got slow this summer, the owner of the Just Cookin’ diner in Dallas, North Carolina, put God in charge of the revenue.

Dana Parris was praying for a solution to her business troubles when God told her to trust him, reported the Gaston Gazette

“He just came to me and said I don’t need to do it, I need to let him do it,” Ms. Parris told newspaper. “The way I could show I was giving God control was to give him control of the cash register.”

So, Ms. Parris put her faith in God, took the prices off the menu and asked patrons to pay what they thought the meal was worth. The plan paid off. Since the first week of her new pricing policy, Ms. Parris told the Gaston Gazette, her profits nearly tripled.

Some people, she said, could not pay what would have been the “full price” of their meals, but those people often came back and paid more money for the same meal when they had more funds. Others paid a little more than “full price.”

The pricing policy was supposed to end Friday, but Ms. Parris decided to continue indefinitely because of the positive customer response, the Gaston Gazette reported.

“I pray that showing this little bit of faith will catch on and other people will have faith. I hope people will see his love shining here,” Ms. Parris said.
