MADISON, Wis. (AP) - The U.S. Capitol Christmas tree will travel through Wisconsin next week on the way to Washington, D.C.
The 88-foot white spruce was cut in northern Minnesota on Oct. 29 and began its journey east. The tree is slated to travel down Interstate 94 in Wisconsin on Monday. State transportation officials say it’s scheduled to stop at the Forest Products Laboratory in Madison for three hours late Monday afternoon and at Community Spirit Park in Milwaukee for two hours late Tuesday morning.
