Noted conservative pundit and author Dinesh D’Souza says that now the elections are over — and Republicans have won big — the GOP should put President Obama in “legislative shackles.”

“This is so necessary and overdue,” Mr. D’Souza said, on the “Steve Malzberg Show” on Newsmax TV. “It would be infuriating if the Republicans had not taken the Senate.”

But now, the GOP holds all the power, he said.

“They’re in the position to politically quarantine this guy,” Mr. D’Souza said, Newsmax reported. “What I mean by that is simply to put some legislative shackles on him and keep him under control and on his best behavior, at least through the next election.”

Mr. D’Souza, also a filmmaker, is serving out an eight-month confinement at a halfway house for violating campaign election laws.
