On Election Day, as on most days, Americans took to social media to air their views and voice their opinion. Social media platform Twitter captured some of Tuesday’s #Election2014 tweets and analyzed them to see what was on voters’ minds.

Twitter looked at the posts of people using #Election2014 Tuesday between noon and 3 p.m. Education was a top election issue for our nation’s youth and younger voters, while the over age 55 set was most concerned about Ebola, according Twitter’s analysis.

Here’s a breakdown what the company found:

• Ages 13-17 and ages 18-24 were most concerned about education

• Ages 25-34 tweeted most about gay rights

• Ages 35-54 were most concerned with privacy

• Ages 55+ were most concerned with Ebola

Across the nation, the economy — including issues like equal pay and jobs — and the government were the top issues with voters, according to a Gallup poll conducted in late September.
