INDIANAPOLIS — Trent Williams is active and will return to the field for the Washington Redskins on Sunday after missing their game a week ago with right knee and ankle injuries.

Williams, the Redskins’ starting left tackle, sprained the MCL in his right knee and his right ankle in a loss to Tampa Bay on Nov. 16. He sat out the loss at San Francisco on Nov. 23, but was able to finish a full practice on Thursday and Friday.

“I’m not expecting it to be 100 percent, but as long as I can be effective, [I’ll play],” Williams said on Thursday.

Also making their returns Sunday after missing one game will be tight end Jordan Reed, who is recovering from a strained right hamstring, and nose tackle Chris Baker, who sprained his right sternoclavicular joint.

Defensive end Jason Hatcher, who has been experiencing soreness in his right knee, is also active and will play. Hatcher was held out of practice Wednesday and Thursday, but was able to participate in a limited portion of practice on Friday.

Inactive for the Redskins on Sunday will be third quarterback Kirk Cousins, wide receivers Leonard Hankerson and Aldrick Robinson, right tackle Tyler Polumbus, right guard Spencer Long and defensive end Stephen Bowen.

They had previously ruled out cornerback E.J. Biggers, who continued to experience symptoms stemming from a concussion sustained in the game against San Francisco.

Cornerback Chase Minnifield and inside linebacker Steve Beauharnais, each of whom were signed off the practice squad earlier in the week, are each active.

Those inactive for the Colts on Sunday will be tight end Weslye Saunders, left guard Lance Louis and nose tackle Zach Kerr.

Indianapolis, which listed 13 players on its injury report during the week, previously announced tight end Dwayne Allen, right guard Hugh Thornton, outside linebacker Andy Studebaker and right tackle Xavier Nixon will not play because of injury.
