A New York-based satanic group has sent a coloring book and other literature to a Florida school district and asked the materials be added to its distribution lists — same as the Bibles that were allowed a few months ago.

The Satanic Temple sent along “The Satanic Children’s Big Book of Activities,” along with two fact sheets about the organization, to the Orange County school district requesting distribution by January, the Orlando Sentinel reported. The coloring and activity book includes pictures of children with satanic symbols on their clothes, as well as messages that support social justice and oppose bullying.

The group also said that the district can’t legally reject their request because World Changers of Florida received the go-ahead to distribute Bibles in the schools, and an atheist organization was similarly allowed to pass out its own reading materials.

“To be sure, if our materials are consistent with their standards, they can’t simply deny our literature because of its religious viewpoint,” a Satanic Temple spokesman who goes by the name Lucien Greaves told the Sentinel.

The attorney for the district said school officials would take a look at the organization’s offerings.

“We definitely, definitely will not be distributing those materials until we have a work session on that issue,” school board chairman Bill Sublette told the Sentinel.
