Police in Los Angeles said they’ve arrested several in connection with the Halloween evening hit-and-run killings of three 13-year-old, trick-or-treating girls, but they’ve yet to release their names or identifying pieces of information about the suspects.
Santa Ana law enforcement officials had been searching for the driver and another who reportedly fled the scene of the Friday night crash that killed twin girls and their friend while they were attempting to navigate a crosswalk, The Associated Press reported.
Police say they ultimately traced a black Honda SUV that was abandoned a short distance front the crash site to the suspects — and that they made arrests on Sunday, AP said.
But they’ve yet to name those arrested, or even tell how many were taken into custody.
Two of the girls were declared dead at the scene, and the third died while paramedics prepped to transport her to a nearby hospital, said Orange County Fire Department Capt. Steve Concialdi, AP reported.
