LANSING, Mich. (AP) - Gov. Rick Snyder is back in Michigan in time for Thanksgiving after a weeklong trade mission to China.

He says Thanksgiving is a holiday that unites state residents from a wide variety of backgrounds.

In a statement, Snyder says “Michigan is a big home for 10 million people.”

He says residents “have different religions, some speak different languages” but are “all Michiganders.”

Snyder’s fourth trip to China in his four years as governor focused on promoting trade and investments in the areas of autos and manufacturing, agriculture and tourism.
