Health and Human Services has kicked off a campaign to hit the shopping malls with promotions to pitch to the American people.

On the three days immediately after Thanksgiving, Westfield Shopping Centers, the XO Group and the National Community Pharmacists Association will host special programs and spots aimed at providing information to consumers on signing up for the Obamacare exchanges, Newsmax reported.

HHS is hoping the outreach will generate buzz about open enrollment season, which ends Feb. 15, and help consumers learn how to sign up successfully, Newsmax reported.

NCPA is going to actually host calls with HHS officials to train pharmacists on the ins and outs of enrollment, while Westfield malls in as many as seven states will be rolling out the welcome mat to Obamacare experts to come on site and help people enroll. So far, malls in Florida, Maryland, New York, Washington, Connecticut, Illinois and New Jersey are on board with the HHS outreach, Newsmax said.

Meanwhile, XO — which owns websites The Bump and The Knot — is going to target women who are about to wed or give birth and educate them on how to properly enroll in Obamacare.
