Garth Brooks has canceled his talk show appearances, citing the “civil unrest” across the country after a grand jury decided not to indict Ferguson Police Officer Darren Wilson.
“We landed in NY last night to the news of the civil unrest that was going on in our nation,” the country music singer said in a statement, Fox News reported.
Mr. Brooks, who just released “Man Against Machine” this month, said he felt it was wrong to “spend the day promoting [his] stuff like nothing was wrong.”
“[It] seemed distasteful to me,” he added.
The 52-year-old said he has plans to reschedule his appearances, networks permitting, Fox News reported.
