Officer Darren Wilson testified before the grand jury that Ferguson teen Michael Brown looked like a “demon” in the seconds before he shot and killed him during an Aug. 9 altercation.

Officer Wilson also said in grand jury testimony that he first saw Brown walking down the middle of the street with another young man, slowing traffic. He then pulled his police car up to them and asked, “What’s wrong with the sidewalk?” Officer Wilson then said Brown swore at him and the two men walked away, while he called for police backup, the Los Angeles Times reported.

Officer Wilson said he then pulled his police vehicle into reverse and cut the two men off, stopped his vehicle and opened the door, the Los Angeles Times reported.

Officer Wilson said Brown slammed the door then on his leg — and again, as he was trying once more to step from his vehicle,” the Los Angeles Times reported.

“At that time is when I saw him coming into my vehicle. … I was hit right here in the side of the face with a fist,” Officer Wilson said, the Los Angeles Times reported.

The two struggled and Officer Wilson said he fought to contain Brown and extricate himself from his vehicle.

“The only way I can describe it is I felt like a 5-year-old holding on to Hulk Hogan,” Officer Wilson said, the Los Angeles Times reported. “[He looked like] a demon.”

Officer Wilson then testified that he drew his gun and ordered Brown back or he would shoot — and “he immediately grabs my gun and says, ’You are too much of a [coward] to shoot me,’ ” the Los Angeles Times reported.

The officer testified that he finally got out of the car and Brown began to run away, but then stopped, turned and ran back toward him, making a fist with his left hand and reaching under his shirt with his right. Officer Wilson said he ordered Brown to stop and get to the ground, but the teen didn’t.

“I shoot a series of shots,” he said, the Los Angeles Times reported. “I don’t know how many I shot. I just know I shot it.”

Officer Wilson also told the grand jury: “I’ve never used my weapon before.”
