Seattle Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch, who was recently fined by the NFL for refusing to speak to the media, decided to participate in an interview Sunday by answering “yeah” to just about every question.

After the Seahawks’ 19-3 win over NFC West-leading Arizona, Lynch may have avoided another $50,000 fine by answering 22 questions with 54 words, The News Tribune reported.

“How is that defense compared to others you’ve seen this year?” one reporter asked.

“Yeah,” Lynch responded.

“How important was it to keep the ball on the ground and run out the clock, especially in the fourth quarter when you know this team is so good in the fourth quarter?” the reporter asked.

“Yeah,” Lynch responded.

“How is your back doing?”

“Yeah,” he answered, and so on.

It wasn’t until one reporter asked about heating pads in his cleats when he decided to break his silence.

“I’ve got a foundation dinner on December 14 to help benefit inner-city youths out of Oakland,” Lynch answered randomly. “We’re trying to raise money to build a youth center. So, yeah.”

According to a transcript by The News Tribune, Lynch gave 12 “yeahs,” two “maybes,” two “I don’t knows,” one “Boosie” — as in the rapper Lil’ Boosie — and one “no” to a question on whether he’d like to do a phone interview.
