Darren Wilson, the Ferguson police officer who fatally shot 18-year-old Michael Brown, has reportedly married his girlfriend, who is also a Ferguson police officer.

Officer Wilson, 28, and Barbara Spradling, 36, went unnoticed when they applied for a marriage license in October at the St. Louis County Courthouse, sources told the St. Louis Post Dispatch.

The two were married Oct. 24 in an informal ceremony in Overland. Attorney and municipal Judge Christopher Graville performed the marriage, the newspaper reported.

Officer Wilson has been on paid administrative leave from the police department after he shot and killed Brown during a confrontation on Aug. 9, sparking months of rioting, protesting and racial unrest. A grand jury is expected to determine at any time whether he should be indicted.

Officers Wilson and Spradling were both previously married, according to public records. His divorce was finalized on Nov. 10, 2013, the New York Times reported.

The couple reportedly owns a home together in the St. Louis suburb of Crestwood.
