WASHINGTON — Joshua Smith scored 22 points and grabbed 11 rebounds as Georgetown posted an 80-66 win over Robert Morris on Saturday.
L.J. Peak and D’Vauntes Smith-Rivera added 12 points apiece for the Hoyas (3-0), who have won 32 straight home games, with Smith-Rivera dishing off seven assists.
The Hoyas shot 49 percent, with Smith making 9 of 12 shots, and limited the Colonials (1-3) to 30.5 percent. Georgetown also out-rebounded Robert Morris 47-31.
Rodney Pryor had 16 points for Robert Morris and Lucky Jones contributed 13.
Two free throws by Kavon Stewart had Robert Morris within 21-18 at 7:28 but Georgetown pulled way for a 36-24 halftime lead and was never threatened. When Smith-Rivera knocked down a 3-point and Paul White followed with a jumper at 13:36 the lead was up to 55-29.
