Texas Gov. Rick Perry said his state is mulling a lawsuit against President Obama over planned executive actions to grant amnesty to 5 million or so illegals.

“I think that’s probably a very real possibility,” Mr. Perry said during a panel discussion at the Republican Governors Association’s annual meeting, Politico reported.

Mr. Perry said the cost of illegal immigration — which hits his border state particularly hard — is “extraordinary” and costs Texas about $12 million a month in border security expenses, Politico said.

Mr. Perry quipped that Attorney General Greg Abbott, who was just elected governor, has described his current role this way: “I go to the office, I sue Obama, and I go home,” Politico reported.
