Baseball’s Jose Canseco may have accidentally shot his finger off while cleaning his gun — but he’s not letting the limb go to waste. Rather, he’s turning to eBay with an offer that he’s hoping Yankee fans can’t refuse.

“I will soon put the finger that fell off in the poker tournament on eBay for sale,” he tweeted.

And he gave a heads-up what to look for.

“The eBay ad will read slightly used middle finger with 462 home runs could be used as a stirring straw for drinks,” he wrote in a separate tweet.

Mr. Canseco, 50, also said he was going to auction off the very gun he was cleaning when it discharged and took off his finger — a .45 caliber Remington. And he’s not settled for sure, but the New York Post said he may offer both finger and gun in a “package deal.”

In another tweet, Mr. Canseco posted a picture of his .45 above this text: “This is the 45 caliber Remington that shot my finger off. It is for sale if anyone wants to buy it.”

And then in a followup, he tweeted: “Maybe I will make it a package the chrome 45 caliber Remington with the finger both for sale a package deal.”

But his tweets may all be in jest. The eBay site policy section bans the selling of firearms and most human remains.
