Happy 65th, Mr. Speaker — now go sign up for Social Security.
That was the gist of a tweet House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi sent to Speaker John Boehner on Monday, his 65th birthday.
“Happy 65th Birthday, @SpeakerBoehner! Welcome to Medicare and Social Security,” she tweeted.
The message was retweeted more than 1,000 times.
Mr. Boehner has backed raising the age of receipt for Social Security to 70, and for Medicare, to 67.
