This week’s bully is a slam-dunk and should have everyone, no matter your political affiliation, standing with applause.

Yes, there are millions of people who support Obamacare and millions opposed, but to flat out lie to the American people and then brag about it in a gleeful manner lands this week’s winner square in the spotlight.

MIT’s Jonathan Gruber is one of the architects of Obamacare and has now been seen on numerous videos bragging about the “brilliance” of the intellectuals, such as himself and those in the Obama administration, and the “stupidity” of, well, basically everyone else.

I don’t care if you support Obamacare or not. “We The People” have demanded transparency from our government from the start and have now been subjugated to the will of the “important people” in just a few short years. If all of us - Republicans, Independents, Green Party, Tea Party and, yes, even Democrats - don’t stand up to this top-down form of government we will all pay the price. It’s one we don’t have enough saved up to repay.

Jonathan Gruber is this week’s bully because he is not only the face of bad government, he also represents the ugly face of elitism. The kind that continues to grow, looking down upon others just because they don’t agree. Johnny Gruber, (I won’t give him the respect to call him Mr.) had the audacity to say something that he now claims “was taken out of context.” Here’s the quote, and please, Johnny, tell us how you meant this in a different way that would show you have some respect for your fellow Americans?

“Lack of transparency is a huge political advantage. Call it the stupidity of the American voter or whatever, but basically, that was really, really critical for the thing to pass.”

It’s a common theme among Democrats and those in the “elite” echelons.

Nancy Pelousy’s famous quote, “We have to pass the bill so you can find out what’s in it,” is another perfect example, as is,

“One cries because one is sad. For example, I cry because others are stupid, and that makes me sad.” – Sheldon from “The Big Bang Theory.”

The Cornhusker Kickback, Gator Aid and even the latest development of Mary Landrieu’s Louisiana Purchase, (where now she’s interested in the Keystone XL Pipeline, when her political life is hanging by the smallest of hairs) are all indicative of the same thing: immoral, unethical and just plain bad government, which has exploded in the past years under President Obama.

Richard Nixon stepped down from office for using the IRS to harass political opponents and sending a couple of guys into an office to steal some documents from the Democrat National Committee HQ in the Watergate Hotel. Along with the cover-up, it was a national disgrace and Nixon should have left office. With that being said, Mr. Obama has used the IRS to harass political opponents (the Tea Party and others), and we now know his administration has willingly lied about legislation that affects every American — health care.

When thinking of people like Jonathan Gruber, the word bully might be going too easy on him.

For your purposeful lack of transparency and your glee in telling the world how smart you are and how dumb everyone else is, and for crafting and forcing one of the worst pieces of legislation in American history … You, Jonathan Gruber,  are the Liberal Bully of the Week.
