Pakistan’s military said Thursday it has successfully tested a nuclear-capable missile with intermediate range fire power.

The Shaheen-Il, also known as the Hatf-Vt, has a range of 900 miles, and Pakistan reportedly launched it from an undisclosed site into the Arabian Sea, The Associated Press reported.

Even so, the nation doesn’t have plans for aggression against another country, said Lt. Gen. Zubair Mahmood Hayat, in the AP report.

Pakistan’s previously test-fired the same type of missile. The nation declared nuclear capability in 1998.
