Perhaps taking a page from the playbook of Sen. Rand Paul, newly re-elected Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker said former Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton was perhaps the biggest loser of the midterm elections last Tuesday.

“She embodies Washington, she embodies that old, tired top-down approach from the government — I think in the states as governors we offer a much better alternative,” he said Tuesday on “Fox and Friends.”

The remarks from Mr. Walker, who is toying with a presidential run in 2016, mirror comments he made Sunday on NBC’s “Meet the Press” when he said that in many ways Mrs. Clinton was the “big loser” on Tuesday because “she embodies everything that’s wrong with Washington.”

The GOP field for 2016 is wide open, but potential candidates like Mr. Paul, Mr. Walker and others have not been shy at unloading on Mrs. Clinton, the presumed frontrunner for the Democratic nomination if she chooses to run.

Not to be outdone, Correct the Record, a rapid response team with designs on defending Mrs. Clinton, released its own report suggesting that Mrs. Clinton’s presence on the campaign trail boosted female voter turnout for Democratic candidates despite the party’s poor overall performance last Tuesday.
