Little by little, Wizards shooting guard Bradley Beal continues to progress.
Beal continued to shoot Monday with limited use of his surgically-repaired left (non-shooting) hand. Being limited in his use of the guide hand is an improvement over last week when Beal did not use it at all.
Wizards coach Randy Wittman said Beal’s visit to a doctor in New York last week went well. Beal was originally projected to miss six weeks after having left wrist surgery Oct. 12.
“He’s able to run and do some things with one hand out there, obviously,” Wittman said. “It’s like I said. Until the doctor gives him the OK to start catching passes; that’s the next step, obviously, to get out there and start using the left hand. When that point is, I don’t know. She was very pleased with what she saw when we were in New York. It’s healing and moving in the right direction.”
Garrett Temple has filled in well for Beal. Temple is averaging 10.7 points per game, and shooting 40.7 percent from the field and 42.9 percent from behind the 3-point line.
