LYNCHBURG, Tenn. (AP) - Jack Daniel Distillery says it’s joining forces with the Armed Services YMCA again to help junior-enlisted service members and their families travel home for the holidays.

Called “Operation Ride Home,” the program started in 2011 and has helped 1,164 service members and their families go home for the holidays.

The program helps fund plane tickets through vouchers and driving expenses with prepaid debit cards. The recipients are chosen based on financial need.

Jack Daniel’s says it has donated $100,000 for the effort and says others can help by visiting https://www.jdoperationridehome.com . Donations are tax-deductible and can include airline miles from select airlines.

Jack Daniel Distillery is based in Lynchburg, Tennessee. The whiskey is the flagship brand of Louisville, Kentucky-based Brown-Forman Corp.
