Cranberries singer Dolores O’Riordan was arrested Monday for causing a disturbance aboard an Aer Lingus flight from New York City to Shannon, Ireland.
Miss Riordan, 43, was discharged from an Irish hospital and released without charge from police custody after she was charged with attacking a flight attendant shortly before landing in Shannon, BBC News reported.
The Aer Lingus attendant reportedly suffered a fractured foot and was taken to a Limerick hospital. A police officer was also hurt during the arrest but was not hospitalized.
Miss Riordan was detained under section four of the Criminal Justice Act and questioned about the assault accusations, BBC reported. The singer reportedly told police that she was ill.
