PHILIPPI, W.Va. (AP) - West Virginia Secretary of State Natalie Tennant will be the keynote speaker at Alderson Broaddus University’s commencement.

Degrees will be awarded to 126 undergraduates and 28 graduate students Saturday in Rex Pyles Arena in the Memorial Coliseum.

Tennant, a Democrat, is running against Republican U.S. Rep. Shelley Moore Capito for the retiring U.S. Sen. Jay Rockefeller’s seat.

The university’s baccalaureate ceremony is set for Friday evening in Wilcox Chapel.
