CANON CITY, Colo. (AP) - Tom Tancredo says he no longer feels comfortable in Colorado.
Tancredo is running for the Republican nomination for governor. The Canon City Daily Record (https://tinyurl.com/marmxa7 ) reports that Tancredo told a tea party group Thursday that Colorado, quote, “is not the state I grew up in.” Tancredo said he wants to feel comfortable here again.
The former congressman is best known for his strong opposition to illegal immigration. He is competing against three other Republicans in the June 24 primary. The winner will face Democrat John Hickenlooper in November.
