RALEIGH, N.C. (AP) - Two men have been apprehended in connection with the shooting death of a man in Raleigh in April.

A statement from the Raleigh Police Department says 25-year-old Isiah Alexander Owens and 26-year-old Shawn Cordellro Jones are each charged with one count of murder in connection with the death of Thomas Anthony Weiner. They were arrested Friday in Elizabeth City, about 170 miles northeast of Raleigh.

Owens and Jones also are charged with two counts of assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury. The men were being returned to Raleigh Friday afternoon.

On April 26, police responding to a call regarding a shooting on Raleigh’s east side found three people had been shot and wounded. Authorities said 30-year-old Thomas Anthony Weiner died at the hospital.
