MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (AP) - Authorities say searchers will again head out in Georgetown County to look for clues in the disappearance of a teenager from New York who hasn’t been seen in more than five years.

Police said officials will search private land this weekend for any new information or evidence in the disappearance of Brittanee Drexel. The Rochester, New York, woman was 17 years old when she was last seen during a spring break trip to Myrtle Beach in April 2009.

Myrtle Beach Police Capt. David Knipes says there are no new details in the case.

The area being searched in Georgetown County is near where Drexel’s cellphone sent its last signal five years ago.
