ST. LOUIS (AP) - The city treasurer’s office in St. Louis is planning a comprehensive parking study.

The St. Louis Post-Dispatch (https://bit.ly/1jl3Ajh ) reports that the study was announced Thursday by Treasurer Tishaura Jones. The office will hire a consultant in June to consider every aspect of the city’s parking system, then provide recommendations on pricing, deployment of parking meters and other aspects of parking.

Jones says the study will help with implementation of new parking technology.

Jones has begun a test program on using new technology for meters, along with Saturday enforcement of parking meters.
