LAS VEGAS (AP) - Police say a 49-year-old driver who fled after a fatal crash that sent a car into a Las Vegas lounge surrendered at a police substation and is being held on a felony hit-and-run charge.

Edward Barber also faces driving without a valid license and failure to have insurance charges after turning himself in about 12:30 p.m. Thursday.

Police say Barber was driving a GMC Yukon that collided with three vehicles about 6:30 p.m. Wednesday near Charleston Boulevard and Arville Street.

Authorities say 74-year-old Dare Stenberg Farr of Las Vegas died and her son was critically injured when their Oldsmobile slammed into the wall of the Flex cocktail lounge.

A bartender said the driver of the SUV ducked into the lounge and then ran out the back door before police arrived.
