FARGO, N.D. (AP) - One of the people who pleaded guilty to charges in the heroin overdose death of a Fargo blues guitarist has been sentenced to serve 12 years in prison.
Twenty-seven-year-old Nathan Evenson, of Fargo, also was ordered to pay nearly $4,400 in restitution, and to serve three years on supervised release following his prison term.
Evenson pleaded guilty to a drug conspiracy charge in the June 2012 death of 30-year-old Cody Conner.
U.S. Attorney Timothy Purdon says Evenson and others would receive heroin shipments from Minneapolis and distribute them in the Fargo area. Seth Lund previously was sentenced to seven years in prison for his role. Nicole Wadsworth is to be sentenced June 2.
