HARRISBURG, Pa. (AP) - Democratic gubernatorial candidate Tom Wolf is being endorsed by PennLive/The Patriot-News of Harrisburg.

In editorial published online Friday, the news organization cited Wolf’s varied background, including stints as a Peace Corps volunteer in India and as state revenue secretary as well as the experience he gained from running his family’s building products business.

The editorial says it’s the totality of Wolf’s background that makes him best-suited among the four Democratic candidates to take on Republican Gov. Tom Corbett in the fall.

It acknowledges there are few policy differences among Wolf and his rivals for the Democratic nomination. But it says his unusual record and broad experience suggest he’s most likely to succeed in making the changes in Harrisburg that Pennsylvanians need.
