TUPELO, Miss. (AP) - A former Saints quarterback is helping out Mississippi tornado victims.

WAPT TV reports (https://bit.ly/1s9C1tw ) that John Fourcade brought members of his “Fourcade Brigade” to Mississippi on Thursday. The group has been collecting donations in Louisiana and on the Gulf Coast.

Fourcade was taking two trailers of supplies, including bottled water, children’s toys and furniture, to Louisville and Tupelo -some of the areas hardest hit by the April 28 tornado outbreak.

Fourcade is a former Ole Miss football player and played for the Saints from 1987-1990.

“I’m from the area. I went to school at Ole Miss and Tupelo is 40 miles away, and Louisville is about an hour away from Oxford, so I know so many people up here,” Fourcade said. “I want to come out and help and help other players and people who live in the area.
