CLEMSON, S.C. (AP) - He’s been on the job for several months now, but Clemson University’s president is officially being installed.

President Jim Clements is scheduled to be inaugurated during commencement exercises on Friday.

Clements is planning to give his inaugural address in three short segments at each of the day’s graduation ceremonies. At the various events, he will also receive the Clemson University presidential chain, seal and robe, a framed copy of the will of university founder Thomas Green Clemson and the state’s Act of Acceptance.

Clements took over in January. He previously served as president of West Virginia University and provost and vice president for academic affairs at Maryland’s Towson University.
