MILFORD, Conn. (AP) - An Amtrak train has struck and killed a person in Milford.
Amtrak spokesman Craig Schulz says the accident, involving a train that was headed from Boston to Washington, occurred just west of the Milford train station shortly before 11 a.m.
The 334 passengers were transferred to a New York-bound Metro-North commuter train.
One of three tracks in the area was still in service, but both railroads said they expected to experience delays Friday afternoon.
It was the second accident involving an Amtrak train in Connecticut this week. An Amtrak Acela Express struck and killed a man in Groton on Monday.
