SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (AP) - A nearly eight-hour standoff in Sioux Falls ended peacefully when the suspect surrendered to SWAT team members.

Police say the 25-year-old man wanted on felony drug charges fled from officers and barricaded himself in a home Wednesday evening. Several streets in the area were closed to traffic while authorities surrounded the residence.

The man surrendered without incident shortly before 2 a.m. Wednesday. Police said they had considered him armed and dangerous but they did not say if he actually had a weapon.

No injuries were reported.
