PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) - Portland Fire and Rescue says a quick response limited most damage at an apartment fire to one unit in an eight-unit building in north Portland.

The incident commander made it a two-alarm fire because of the fire and smoke threatening the residences about 10 p.m. Wednesday.

Firefighters kept the flames from spreading and there were no injuries.
