FARGO, N.D. (AP) - Police say the suspect who assaulted a man inside a vehicle in Fargo lured the victim through an online sex ad and could be responsible for at least four similar attacks and robberies.

Authorities say the victim had responded to a Craigslist ad placed by 18-year-old Obsa Ali Omer. The victim was driving the two of them through a construction zone Wednesday afternoon when he was cut by Omer with a knife.

Fargo Police Chief Keith Ternes says Omer is suspected in two other assaults in Fargo and two robberies in Moorhead, Minnesota. Those cases also were related to online ads.

KFGO radio reports that police are asking victims of similar robberies to report them to law enforcement.
